When you think about it, it’s ridiculous: almost all of those billions of e-mails that find their way around the globe every day are sent in the clear with no encryption of any kind applied to the message.

GPG und Verschlüsselung. Beide Begriffe werden wohl nur Computer-Honks und Paranoiden etwas sagen. Gerade in Zeiten der immer stärker ansteigenden Überwachung ist es nicht verkehrt zumindest kritische Kommunikation zu verschlüsseln. Dafür muss man weder paranoid noch ein Technik-Freak sein. Eine Auseinandersetzung ist das Thema auf jeden Fall wert. GPGMail integriert sich in Apple’s Mail.app und funktioniert seit neustem auch unter Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
