New to the 3.2 release is the ability to mark old tweets as read when you first launch the app. A rate limit check has been added at startup, and HTTP authentication reliability has been improved for accessing Twitter through a proxy. All communications with Twitter are now encrypted using the HTTPS protocol. Up to 200 tweets will be read into your timeline, and reply IDs have been added to posted messages. A menu is now available on the Dock icon. A number of bug fixes have been made, as well.

Das Update ist eher im Bereich klein anzusiedeln, wobei Twitterrific bereits ein ausgezeichnetes Stück Software ist. Produktpflege ist in diesem Bereich unbedingt notwendig, gerade bei der schier unendlich anmutenden Anzahl an Twitter-Clients, die es bereits auf dem Markt gibt. Unter Mac OS X ist Twitterrific immer noch die Twitter-Schnittstelle der Wahl. Auf dem iPhone wurde die Software von dem viel besseren Tweetie abgelöst.
